Name: Kendra, but he/she has several nicknames including Ryu, Alena, and Riona.
Age: At the time of this posting, 18. But time always moves on.
Specifics:

Kendra takes the form of a spirit. A ghostly entity usually not visible to the human eye. (Although she can make herself visible if she wishes.) As a spirit, she has no consistent appearance, and is constantly shifting about like water.

Kendra's spirit is bound to a key-shaped necklace, important to her before she 'discarded' her original shape. Its drawn to it like a magnet. Both CAN be separate, but usually not for long.

Every character an author creates, is an extension of themselves in some degree, much like an actor must 'become' their roles. In the online world, these characters manifest themselves. Typically, Kendra will be seen possessing one of these characters.

When a character is possessed, they simply cease acting like themselves. Kendra is fully aware that the world around her isn't 'real', and as such, is more likely to engage in erotic fantasy-fulfillment then any meaningful plots. (Not that such roleplays don't have their value~) This doesn't harm the character, who usually goes into a state of sleep during the process. When one is possessed, they will always be wearing her key. When she leaves, the character returns to their normal state of consciousness.

There are also a few husks lying around. Husks are bodies with no real soul. This is either because Kendra has yet to fully develop them as characters, (such as the case with the silver-haired witch of the same name, or Derren the pink-colored cartoon cat), or because they are simply lifeless husks filling in as a 'body' for her (Such as the 'Ryu' one, who is more or less the real world equivalent, without his glasses. (Because he keeps forgetting to describe them)). Eiather way, Husks simply collapse when Kendra's spirit leaves.

The key itself is magical in form. As such, its capable of being incorporated into many other kinds of magic AND science. If Ryu is turned into something inanimate, the image of they key will appear on it somewhere. It may very well wind up tagged to her ear, depending on what she becomes.

If she is merged with someone else, be it her own character or someone else's, the key will vanish, re-appearing around the joined entity when they are finished. If her soul is forcibly taken by some manner of sorcery, the key acts similarly, appearing around or near whatever object she's thrown in.

Obviously, its quite possible for Kendra to switch bodies, by merely removing her necklace, and placing it around the neck of another character. If said character is her own, then she will simply overshadow them. If said character ISN'T, and is representing someone else, then her spirit will simply begin to co-exist with them, within the same body. Herself and the key can be kept separate for about ten minutes by themselves, after which it will re-appear around her current form, if it isn't given a new 'host' within that time frame. With this in mind, the key CAN be stolen, and she can be forced to posses someone or something against her will.

Typically, this won't happen though. Her body is simply a representation of herself, to interact with those on the glorious secondary world that is the Internet. So then, whom shall I change first..... *peers out over the audience*
For quite some time now, the idea behind 'Author Avatars' has fascinated me. They typically eiather take the role of a God-Like being over their characters, literally BE one of their characters, or both.

For awhile, I struggled with how I wanted my 'self' to be depicted. If I made myself a girl, then I could hardly be turned into one. But I was transgendered. What if there WAS no TGing involved in whatever it was I was doing? Then I'd want to start out as a girl to begin with.

And then there was being overpowered. My first attempt at an author-avatar was a man with a guitar-shaped keyboard that warped reality literally through the power of words. This character wound up taking on a life of his own, becoming an obnoxious snob. :P Didn't want that to be 'me'.

There were two ends of the spectrum that I had to choose from. On one hand, there's the overpowered God-like Author entity. These people are great for setting up plots and events and whatnot, but that also meant that they could never be submissive.

Then there was the opposite route. The little to no powered 'human'. Such a person was rather well-suited for being the 'sub' in any given transformation (or bondage) scenario. However, it seems like 90% of people choose this route. When you have a room full of subs, nothing winds up happening. Everyone wants things to happen to THEM, without dishing out any in return.

There was also a wide range of things inbetween. From anthros to mythological creatures. But this seemed to defeat the purpose. How could I be turned into an anthro, if I already was one? But then there was the opposite. What if there WAS no transformation involved, and I was but a lowly, boring human, in a world full of much more interesting mages, animal-people, elves, centaurs, and the like? I'd be jealous as anything, all due to my own actions.

What this unorganized rant leads to, is this: What could I choose to represent 'myself' that would give me the greatest degree of options available?
Like many authors, I had a symbol by then. It was of a necklace I had obtained in the real world, that would up teaching me an important lesson. (Here's a hint. Its the one shown in the little box next to my name.) Thus, this would represent myself. Thus, I now explain who 'Ryu' is, in terms of an avatar. :) Here are the 'rules' and regulations defining the guy/girl.
